A Simple Guide To Impressing Women

It's easy to buy a dozen red roses for the woman you love, what isn't so easy is making them mean something. Sure, as a woman we'll tell all our friends about what you did and brag about how sweet you are, but eventually that memory is going to fade, the flowers are going to die and all you'll have to show for it is a night or two of great sex. At the end of the day you want to give your woman something memorable, something that will remind her of you. For some women there's always that awkward moment when they receive a bouquet of flowers and remember that the last time they received them they were with a different boyfriend; that's definitely not what you want her to be thinking about when you're trying to be romantic.

Instead, get to know your woman. Does she like books? Take that flower idea and combine the two! Press a flower, get her a book you know she'll love and leave it in the cover. It'll not only last longer than a normal flower, every time she opens that book she'll think of you. Albeit small, it was a romantic gesture and women love those kinds of things. Just because you want to do something to impress your woman doesn't necessarily mean you have to buy her something. How many times have you taken her to an empty parking lot, cranked down the windows of your car, blared a love song and asked her to dance? Many women, whether they'll tell you or not, love chick flick romance movies because the guys do simple, creative things that make them feel cherished. One of the best scenes of The Notebook was when Noah asked Allie to dance in the middle of the street and started singing for her.

The best part about doing something cheesy is that you don't have to spend a fortune to make her smile. Most women are simple creatures - not all, but there's a lot of us who don't ask for the moon and expect you to get it for us. When impressing us all you have to really do is just show you're interested, that you're not in the relationship for a few weeks of casual sex before moving onto someone else. Burn her a CD, write her a poem, bring her soup when she's sick - girls swoon when they can tell their girl friends about the sweet thing their boyfriend did out of the blue.

A few years ago, when I was still a teenager and living with my parents, I wasn't sure what to get a boyfriend for his birthday. My parents weren't big fans of giving me money to spend on someone else, so I knew I couldn't get him the video game he wanted or tickets to a concert I wanted to take him to. We'd been together for a while and I wanted him to know how I felt, so I found an empty school notebook and transformed it into a work of art. I filled it with love quotes, silly drawings, taped in photos of us together and even rewrote memories we shared together. I did almost everything in pen and it took a week of procrastinating on my homework to finish it in time for his birthday, but he loved it.

It's fun to go big sometimes, even if you have to put a lot of work into it. It's about combining the things you know about her and finding a creative way to express your feelings. I had one guy send me on a scavenger hunt around the city picking up little gifts before appearing at the end asking me if I would be his girlfriend. This guy, who had no idea if I would say yes or no, risked it all and spent a few dollars to impress me with the most creative dating proposal I'd ever received and he didn't even know me that well. All you really need to do is put a little creative effort into your ideas, ask yourself how you could make it unique and memorable for her.

Impressing a woman, in the long run, comes down to doing something for her that you don't do every day. It can be simple or complex, cheesy or completely romantic. A woman loves when a man shows that he's been thinking about her, whether it's with a rose or a cupcake from her favorite bakery.
