A Letter To Dobby
67
Dear Dobby,
You weren't particularly likable in the beginning, but you grew on me over time. Where the Malfoys saw you as a pest, I saw you as an innovator. Your ways to keep Harry from Hogwarts were creative, perhaps not the best thought out, but they were made out of love and for that I cannot hold breaking his arm with a rogue bludger against you. And your loyalty! After being freed you stayed so very, very true to Harry throughout everything. You brought him Gillyweed in his fourth year. You found him the Room of Requirements in his fifth. You even followed Draco Malfoy around during his sixth year at Harry's behest. You were a brave, courageous house elf and I think that if you would have been a student, you would have undoubtably been a Gryffindor.
Thank you for saving Harry in the seventh book. I doubt he would have made it out of the Malfoy's dungeon without you. Once again you proved your loyalty by going above and beyond the call of duty to rescue the man who once set you free. Beside Ron and Hermione, you were one of his greatest, bravest friends. I was sad to see you die. You had started out as an annoyance, but you grew to be the lovable creature we all know and miss. I hope your after life is a place filled with many, many socks and all the hats you can fit a-top your head.
Sincerely, The Readers

I couldn't have said this better myself. I will miss Dobby!
Dobby was amazing. And it was a rogue bludger, not a quaffle, btw.
I got chills! Very well said. =)
Very nice. I have no doubt that somewhere Dobby is smiling down on you.
